About me

Congratulations on finding my little corner of the web! My name is Micaela and I’m a writer and narrative designer who loves telling stories, big and small.With my background in psychology, I use the written word to construct characters and relationships, build worlds, explore complex narratives, and wrap it all up in a neat little package to (hopefully) sweep you along on a journey. My favorite genres to play with are magical realism, sci-fi, fantasy, and romance.As of 2026, my published creative works include a short story collection (The Timeless Library) and several indie visual novels (Tokidoki Tactical Squad, Prince is a 10 But, Last Call's Dance), with a full-length novel and more short games in the works. I also have 5+ years of copywriting, translation, and creative experience working with IPs by Warner Bros., Netflix & others.I enjoy questioning the what-ifs, whys and hows; creating vivid descriptions that stick in the mind’s eye; finding just the right word, and then putting it in just the right place… Whether through novels, video games, scripts, short stories, or even emails, I try to make the most of every medium, using its strengths and limitations to the narrative’s advantage.If others join me on the journey, all the better—so if you’re an editor, illustrator, game dev, publisher, or otherwise generally creative person, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. The Timeless Library is a short story collection filled with tales from various worlds woven together and curated by the Librarian. Each story is self-contained and meant to be enjoyed in the time it takes to savor a cup of coffee—though there is an overarching story to be discovered as well (only in the edition published on Wattpad).
